                                            About The Artist                

Rob Denovan is a full-time professional artist. Born in Kirkcaldy, Fife, on the East coast of   Scotland, but eventually moved to Stirling  where he studied at Falkirk College. His love of art stems from childhood, but it wasn't until much later that he became an active Artist.

Both Scotland and The English Lake District are Robs main source of inspiration, which he visits regularly to sketch, paint and photograph. His work reflects strongly his passion for the rugged and beautiful countryside with it's ever changing light and weather.

As well as regular visits to The Lake District in Cumbria, Rob manages to visit his native Scotland five or six times each year, and in between exhibiting and visiting relatives and friends, he paints, sketches and takes photographs for working on back at the studio. He doesn't confine his artwork to painting in only one medium, but works with Oils, Acrylics, Watercolours and Pastels.

Rob finds that the ever changing moods of the British landscape are always an inspiration and a challenge, and the results on canvas are never  totally predictable, which adds to the excitement with every painting.

He now lives in the seaside resort of Cleveleys, in Lancashire, where he runs his own weekly art classes, teaching Watercolour painting, Acrylic Painting, Oil Painting, and Pastel Painting.  Most of his students have been attending the classes for a while now and achieve excellent results. They normally exhibit locally as a group, once or twice a year.
